Visiting Prophet’s (SAWS) Grave- part 1
Time of Hajj has started and since it is recommended during visiting Mosque in Medina, to visit Prophet’s Muhammed grave, I’ve decided to write few words about it.
I. Hadrat ibn ‘Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah [Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wasallam] said, “Whoever visits my grave, my intercession is guaranteed for him.”

II. Hadrat ibn ‘Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah [Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wasallam] said, “Whoever visits me without any avowed purpose other than my visit, it is incumbent upon me to be his intercessor on the Day of Resurrection.”

III. Hadrat ibn ‘Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah [Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wasallam] said, “Whoever makes pilgrimage then visits me after my death it is as if he visited me in my life.”
[narrated by al-Tabarani in al-Kabir (12:310) and al-Daraqutni (2:278) and al-Baihaqi in his al-Sunan al-Kubra (5:286) and in Mishkat al-Masabih Tabrezi (2756) and in al-Jami’ al-Saghir Suyuti (2:523) and Jadhb al-Qulub - ‘Abd al-Haq Dehlwi (205) and Ittihaf al-Sadah Zubaydi (4:416) and Kanz al-‘Ummal (5:135) and Majma’ al-Zawaid Haythami (4:2)]
IV. The Messenger of Allah [Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wasallam] said, “Whoever visits my grave after my death is as those who visited me in my life.”
[Narrated by al-Tabarani in al-Kabir (12:406) and al-Awsat (1:94) and al-Daraqutni (2:278)]
V. Hadrat Anas ibn Malik said that the Messenger of Allah [Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wasallam] said, “Anyone who visits me in Madinah for the sake of Allah is near me and I will intercede for him on the Day of Rising.”

VI. Hadrat Nafi’ said, “I saw that Hadrat [‘Abdullah] ibn ‘Umar used to come to the grave a hundred times or more. He would say, ‘Peace be upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Peace be upon Abu Bakr.’” Then he would leave. Ibn ‘Umar was also seen to put his hand on the seat of the Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wasallam] at the mimbar and then place his hand on his face [for blessings and Barakah].

VII. Hadrat ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah [Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wasallam] said, “whosoever visits me (my grave) after my death is as he has visited me in my life and I shall be an intercessor and witness for him on the Day of Resurrection.”

NOTES:
- To perform the ziyarah (visit) of the blessed shrine of the Messenger of Allah [Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wasallam] is near to Wajib (being necessary).

- To perform Hajj and not to visit the blessed shrine of the Beloved Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wasallam] is a sign of wretchedness.

In 1988 I had the privilege to do for Haj . 6 wks befor Haj we were in medina and I fortunately could read almost every Salaah in the inner sactity of the Holy Moseque and read to my hearts content at the various significant pillars and also the 2 Pillare that were part of the inner copper Graile / Fence of the Kabr of Our Prophet SAW. I peered through and could discern what that time appeared to me as a tent and I thought that it may have been Our Prophet SAW home. When I saw the picture of the the grave a few years ago it appeared the same as I had seen in 1988. I assume that it was the Grave of our Prophet SAW.of this vision I have no doubt. What I do not understand is the Arabic
? shadows that appear around on the walls. Also the rather Huge Pillars also do not make sense but earlier pictures of our Prophets SAW house shaows the walls of the partialy collapsed house of our Nabee SAW They are also very Thick. I do not dispute the simplicity that Prophet Mohhamed advocated. In SA mmost of our recent deceased graves are plain with only a numbe and name etc. The shroud could have been put over the Kabr centuries after . I also likr to respond to a Brothers observation as I understand it that nobody is allowed to enter the burial area.I disagree Some time back an Aleem had a recurrent dream about our profit SAW. It was a message for assistance a a tunnel was being dug to Kidnap the Prophits Body. On investigation this was so and a thcick steel waal was sunk around the grave to protect it. Somebody had to get in to do this. Also as I am let to believe sometime back Eunucks were emloyed to enter and maintain the Grave area.
Another Response I have is about the Baby born in Israel with one eye. We as belivers cannot believe that it is Darjaal. About 35 yrs ago while working in a hospital in Natal SA a baby was born with one eye only as in the picture. It also had other congenital abnormalities he had no noasal structure and the nas and oral orifices were comminucating. The eye pulsated in and out AND the body was green. It died 3 days later.
I would like to conclude with the fact that the day etc of Darjal would herald that Quiyamat is near. From my understanding The Knowledge belongs to Allmighty only he did not even share this Knowledge with his most Beloved Nabee. We are being Naive to believe we will be fortunate to have pre warning of these events. ALLAH Knows best. Inview of our ignorance let us avoid the viewing of contentious and potentially IMAAN threatening material.
