I’ve enjoyed reading your blog. You have a wonderful way with words and it’s clear you have a very strong intellect. “If God Exists, Who Created Him?”
I sent the sermon about God to (may be some college), their response quote “And yet you still confine God to a gender…”
    then I sent them this,

May be this will make it easier for you to grasp the gender and pronoun business.

God’s Existence is not coming into Being from non-existence. Human faculties of conception, perception and learning, and attributes of volition, intuition and apprehension cannot catch sight of God’s Person or fathom the extent of God’s Might and Glory. Reason and sagacity cannot visualise God. God’s Attributes cannot be fixed, limited or defined. None can fully understand or explain God’s Being however hard he or she may try. God’s Worth cannot be described even by the greatest rhetoricians of all times. Intelligence, understanding and attainment cannot attain the depth of knowledge to study or scrutinise the Godhead. God is so absolutely Pure and above nature, that nothing can be added to or substacted from God’s Being. There is no difference between God’s Person and God’s Attributes, and God’s Attributes should not be differentiated or distinguished from God’s Person. Whoever accepts God’s Attributes to be other than God’s Person then actually forsakes the idea of Unity of God and believes in duality ( God and God’s Attributes). Such a person in fact believes God to exist in Parts. One who holds such a faith cannot form a true concept of God, he is ignorant and will always try to believe in some creation of his or her imagination as his or her god. There do not exist words in any language to specify or define God’s qualities, peculiarities, characteristics and singularities. God is with everything but not physically and bodily No physical eye has and will ever see God. God has not permitted human mind to grasp the Essence of God’s Being yet God has not prevented them from realising God’s Presence.

Show me in this text, where is the gender and pronoun business?
    You got it?
    See how easy it is!
    EASY PIZZY?
why must I do your homework?
    READ THE BOOK!!!!!!! http://www.al-islam.org/nahjul/index.htm

Can you please visit their blog and see their response and may be try and help them. There is a big reward for you.

  34. R U a Muslim Feminist ?

  35. and one more question:

If you are a practing muslim, How can you show your beautiful eyes no blog? Is it okay to show eyes which attract men?
    Think ….?

  36. well let’s say I am muslim and strong woman in same time :) plus however one would take it, where is it written that eyes need to be hidden? as I recall, it is being asked for woman to cover her hair and bosom, that some also extended to niqab but even that doesn’t hide eyes so…are you changing written rules? Hijab should be in man’s eyes in a first place, as it is rare for woman to go and rape guy. Secondly, my eyes or look, can make people praise God more, make them say: Subhan Allah, and that’s positive :P and what’s more, how other way can I find husband ;) . Last but not least, I never said that I’m prefect nor encouraged anyone to do what I do. Religion and belief is very personal matter. I am not here to seduce men not chase after them, but learn more and clear own thoughts.

  37. Well said, my friend. As usual, you have no trouble expressing your views – an attribute that I’ve always appreciated in you. I suppose I have to look at it this way… if a man finds your appearance to be provocative, it is his responsibility to exercise control over himself. To expect you to change who you are in order to accommodate his lack of self-control isn’t reasonable (to me), and certainly doesn’t address the problem itself.
Jesus said, “If your eye offends you, you should pluck it out and cast it from you.” I notice He doesn’t say, if my eye offends me I should pluck your eye out… right?
Then again, as you know, I’m not Muslim. I’m just your friend. Please forgive me if I am speaking out of turn. :-)

  38. Ms. Amina,
Can you tell me how I can find the “Coexist” banner to communicate this desire for peace?

I believe that my point of view often shows this, but I think it requires a more direct statement on my part. Your layout is beautiful. Your eyes are also beautiful. I think that some of the Hijab discussion shows many people forget that in any religious tradition, the best way to look at the world is as being God-centered, not man- or human-centered. If I recognize that men and women were given eyes by God–there is little problem. First, they are to see. Second, to be seen and to communicate. And, if they are God’s eyes, why would we use them (or what we think they are saying) to justify harm to another living being?

If what I’m saying is foolish, I apologize. It’s late and I will go to bed now.

    • Islam is a religion of peace in here and hereafter. I believe you think about only here not after here….you are free enough to enjoy on a so called earth until the last breath and good luck for your hereafter world.
Early realization i worth than understanding what is not necessary……
SubhaanAllah Welldone Amina, keep the pace to keep up the peace (Islam for the human being)
